Companies in the Tâmega e Sousa region need to reinvent themselves, or reinvent processes to face the difficulties that are beginning to be felt globally. These companies know that the waste generated has immense value, they just don't know how they can use it, either for financial reasons or environmental concerns. In the region of Tâmega and Sousa, there are several large industrial poles that produce waste, e.g., footwear, textile, furniture, metalworking.

The companies of these industries through the Business Council of Tâmega e Sousa (CETS) challenge for the development of strategies for the reuse of these wastes, for example, promoting the creation of synergies between these industries.
